The postcard background is from my own collection. The globe, women, and eiffel tower are from The Graphics Fairy. I colorized the globe and the women in the car and all the images were layered and filtered in photoshop. I am linking this to Brag Monday at The Graphics Fairy where you can check out all the wonderful things that get made with her images.

I'll send you a postcard...
This week is not off to a good start. Ever have one of those days when you just want to run away from home? This is it for me. So I decided to join these ladies on a world adventure. I'll send you a postcard.

Bird and egg tins
It has been awhile since my last post. It feels good to be back. I just finished a project I started this weekend and thought I would share.
I bought these tins on clearance at a local craft store. They are about 4.5in squares. There were a barn red color, but a spray painted them blue. The images are from The Graphics Fairy and Artefacts. I tied some coffee and spice stained cheesecloth around the top of each tin.

Tags
Happy Monday to all. Today I have for you 2 variations of a Mother's Day tag. First, the basic elements:
This scroll is from the Graphics Fairy. I love the detail work and all the curves.
I used this piece as a frame. It also comes from the Graphics Fairy. Don't you love the white flowers all around the edge?
This adorable image is from Antique Images. The Links for Graphics Fairy and Antique Images Is on the right sidebar of my blog.
Here is the first tag.
A couple of close ups. You can see where I used the frame. I changed the color and size to fit the image and the tag. The scroll is ghosted behind the sentiment. The quote is from Abraham Lincoln and is hiding under the lace at the bottom of the tag.
And here is the other variation.
I hope you enjoy the tags. I plan to link to Brag Monday over at The Graphics Fairy. Be sure to check out her site. Especially on Mondays. You won't believe the talented people and all the great ideas you'll get!

Jars, jars, and more jars
I finally finished some jars I have been working on for a craft show. I wanted to share a few of my favorites.
I think all the images came from the Graphics Fairy. Her link is to the right. If you haven't been to her site, please go. I can't tell you how great her site is. It is loaded with beautiful vintage images.

I didn't even alter this image. It is so perfect just as it is.
This label is so hard to see on the jar, so here it is flat. It was a cigar box label. I think the above jars would be cute filled with candy or seasonal items, or would make nice gift boxes.
This was a brown jar from a second hand store. I covered it with glitter, then distressed the finish.
From the photo it was hard to see the bird ghosted behind the poem, so here is a better look at just the label. The image of the bird and the background are from the Graphics Fairy. Below is what the background looked like before Photoshop.
I would like to finish by thanking the Graphics Fairy for her site. Funny how my favorite jars are the ones using her images....

First Collage
Do you know how sometimes you see something and then there is a loud "click" in your brain and everything comes together? Well, I saw this quote and that happened to me! So here is my first collage using digital images. I think I might actually use this as a mockup for a card. I think it could be cute. I love the quote. The bird and top hat came courtesy of the always generous Graphics Fairy (see her link in my sidebar to the right). The diving girl and seashells are available at my website, http://forget-me-never.com/. The sky background is from a really neat site with tons of free backgrounds. It's at: http://grsites.com/archives/textures/.
